Paddle to the Sea, Because of Winn Dixie, The Midnight Fox, Little House in the Big Woods, Dear Mr. Henshaw, Frindle, 和 Medallion.
We also explore vocabulary, comprehension questions, different types of genre, summaries, character studies, types of figurative language, 和 graphic organizers. We also do a Non-Fiction Unit 和 participate in the Accelerated Reading Program.
Spelling:
-Bob Jones curriculum
We use a variety of teacher-created spelling activities to learn 20 spelling words every week.
Mathematics:

Field Trips:
We visit the Lansing capital 和 museum 和 Charleton Village.
Enrichment Classes:
